You must supply the USB cable from a high power USB port the USB port must capable of supplying at least 2A constant.
Step-up voltage cable, allows a standard 5V USB power bank to be able to power 12V devices such as modems, routers and WIFI devices. This cable is connected directly to a 5V USB power bank or port. The internal electronics will step up the voltage to 12V on the DC output plug.
